COVID has struck so many families across the globe. So many cry, inconsolable. Young and old have had their throats gripped by this unyielding monster.
So many more have succumbed to hopelessness due to job losses, loss of businesses, loss of their very dignity. Children lose their parents. Parents lose their children. Brothers and sisters. Cousins, aunts, and uncles. Friends and coworkers. Neighbors. We all have smelled the breath of the monster. Fear is the order of the day. Curfews. Lock-downs, limits. Masks, hand sanitizers, social distancing are the new trend. Can we do this for much longer?
COVID is an immune disease, or is it? Preexisting conditions such as overweight and obesity, hypertension and other cardiovascular diseases, asthma & bronchitis, diabetes are but a few named as high risk for poor covid outcomes.
There is much talk and push for the COVID vaccine. Leaders lead by displaying publicly their deltoid immunization. Communities educate and encouraged minorities to trust it’s safety. There are doubts and discussions, waiting and anxiety to get it over with. The vaccine, they say, does not prevent the contraction of the virus, but will help to minimize the symptoms. Recipients can carry the virus and actually infect the unsuspecting. Since COVID affects our Immune system, would it be prudent to do a few Simple but Effective things to help to pump up, ramp up and make our immune system rock-solid? Here are a few suggested tried and proven strategies that can help to strengthen our immune system & hopefully help us to be more prepared to fight this monster and win: 🔸️Get plenty of sleep 🔸️Minimize your stress levels 🔸️Drink plenty of fresh clean water 🔸️Eat lots of fresh vegetables and fruits 🔸️Eat healthy foods 🔸️Moderate exercise like walking 🔸️ Soak up some sunlight for vitamin D which helps to boost the immune system 🔸️Have fun and enjoy life 🔸️Meditate & Pray These healthy habits will not only help us to kick the monster to the curb, but they will also help us to lose weight and keep it off for good. Normalize our blood sugar and blood pressure. Rid ourselves of aches and pain. Get Healthy and Stay Healthy. We will be pleased with what stares back at us in that mirror. This is your health.
