Learning to love and accept ourselves is perhaps the first step to mental & emotional healing.
Some of us have memories of emotional trauma as children, young, middle, and older adults. It is definitely not easy to just forget about these experiences.
With time, as we work through the pain. As we understand the ways of our culture,  our society. We learn to accept and not resist so much.
Understanding the world helps us to better understand ourselves. Understanding ourselves leads to acceptance of ourselves. Acceptance of ourselves leads to love of ourselves.

What does Self-Love really mean?
Self-Love is Self-Care which is Healthcare. It’s as simple as that!
If I truly love myself, then I will care enough to do the best that I can to ensure that this beautiful Temple of mine is well taken care of all the time.  This includes doing my best to eat healthy & clean. This includes making time to do some exercises, to have some fun. Making an effort to get adequate sleep. Drinking adequate water and getting some sunlight. We’ll try our best to minimize that stress level and enjoy living.
This is our reasonable responsibility to ourselves.
Learn to love yourself by taking the best care of your body, mind,  emotion & spirit. You deserve it.
