Jerk chickpeas Recipe

Ingredients:

  • Cooked and drained chickpeas
  • 1/2 onion chopped
  • 8 cloves fresh garlic (whole)
  • 1 ripe tomato chopped
  • Okra cut in small rings
  • 1/2 teaspoon fennel seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon caraway seeds
  • Pinch crushed red pepper
  • Pinch salt to taste
  • Olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon spicy Jamaican Jerk sauce

Heat oil on medium

Stir in everything

Lower heat to low

Stir well

Sautéed for 5 minutes

Enjoy with grains or roots or by itself
